Sunday Staples - Bill Cunningham: New York

My perfect Sunday Brunch? Bagels for the mouth - Jazz for my ears & the New York Times style section for my eyes. Its true, Just ask any fashion savvy New Yorker. They all begin their week...On The Street.

Bill Cunningham has made it his life mission to capture the TRUE essence of New York fashion & style with his On the Street segments for the Times. Who needs fashion week! From 5th avenue to Bleeker street to Canal, Bill makes a point to show us what's hot commin straight off the city's concrete runways. With a few snaps of the shutter he captures an insight to innovative style the way no other has (or ever will). Cinematographer Richard Press' feature film debut takes behind the camera eye and into the life of the City's beloved.

Bill Cunningham: New York, takes us inside "the dark room" of the man who has captured the images of some of the most fashionable New Yorkers. The 1 hour and 24 minute long documentary reveals the elements, events and people that combined to develop the creative eye of the man we know and love.

"I'm not interested in celebrities with their free dresses.
