FRIDAY FINDS: $4 for a set of 2 Mongolian Lamb pillow covers

There arent many textiles out there that scream decadent luxury quite like Mongolian Lamb.  I've pined over pillows and throws made of the fur for years but could never quite justify spending the cash.  West Elm came out with ones that were $59 (shown above) but y'all know me. I'm a penny pinchin stickler and will usually thrift till I find a suitable substitute.  Fortunately, this time I didnt have to settle! I found a set priced right in my budget.

Scored these two champagne colored pillowcases yesterday while out thriftin in Fontana. I ignored them at 1st because I thought they might be faux. On my second pass, I turned them inside out and saw the skin. Woo-Hoo - they were the real Mc Coy.  Priced at just $1.99 a piece too!

There was a 3rd smaller one (it looked like a 12x16) for $1.49 which I left there (dont ask me why). I think I better go back for it.  These two here are 18"square and the fur is about 4" in length.  The ones at West elm were just 16" square so I did a bit of  online research to get a good comparison. Ones of similar size and fur length sell for up to $138 a PIECE! I'd say I got a damn good deal at four bucks :)
